The second in my series of four colored pages. It takes a long time to trace the lineart and color it... I'm also working on the part with Midori and Ai when Ritsuka first sees their connection. The connection is so pretty..... Like piano wire. XD I really want to buy piano wire, coat it in Elmer's glue or something, and throw glitter or something over it. Then find someone to pose as Midori and Ai. That would be so funny.
Notice that I changed the hair and eye colors, and, of course, the clothing colors. It is the second page, only now I've given Ritsuka a natural hair color, I'm playing around with a grey-gradient for Soubi, and Nisei's hair is purple.
I really liked making that purple gunk. It started out black, but I wanted to make it dark purple, then I got the strange notion to soft-shade it, thereby separating it from the rest of the picture structurally because it doesn't really belong in their world anyway.
Isn't Ritsuka adorable? You can't really tell from the four pages I colored, but he gets to take the role of "adorable little kid" because he's only twelve. Even Yayoi looks older than him......
