The same wood grains featured in my recent Winter Cicada coloration (p. 15). They're the easiest things in the world to do and you get a beautiful effect that looks somewhat natural.

Skills needed:
-Knowledge of the basic uses of some of the tools in Photoshop
-Scribbling skills
-Drawing somewhat (but not completely) straight lines up and down AND side to side.

This tutorial was made for Photoshop Elements 4. If your tools are in different places, either know where they are or use the bar near the top of the box that says, "Type a question for help".

It looks good!!! You might want to be a little more careful about the edges, though -- there was lots of white. Photoshop gets screwy like that.
